We finally have orders! After months of wondering, researching and discussing the pros and cons of places like San Diego, San Antonio, Washington D.C. and Virginia Beach, our next destination will be: PENSACOLA!

Pensacola was not even in the running until this week.  We lived there before; we thought it was time to experience another place.  But I had prayed for months that God would direct us to the right place, and when it came down to it, this was the only choice offered to us.  Seems pretty clear that we are meant to spend some more time at the beach in Pensacola.

And honestly, if I hadn’t gone to Pensacola last month and had a change of heart about our past experience there, we still wouldn’t have considered it.  We just happened to visit last month and we just happened to be pushed into a corner where our only options were Pensacola or “needs of the Navy” (which would have meant Ft. Meade, and we have several reasons for avoiding it at this time).

The kids are over the moon about going back to a place where they already have friends.

I’m looking forward to renewing friendships myself.  And to this.

I believe God directed you to visit earlier this Spring in preparation for this assignment. I’m happy that you are all happy about going back to renew friendships…………and to be beach bums.

  7. Sounds good! (Looks better!) Though I must admit I checked the old post, & have to hope that allergy (or whatever it was) isn’t still there!
