T-ball

Ben is playing t-ball for the first time this spring.  His team is the Gators.  They play at the park across the street from our house, which is all kinds of awesome in its convenience.

For some reason, when Ben smiles for a picture, he looks like he’s in pain.

I promise no one pinched him.

“Smile like you’re happy!”

Wayne finally started naming foods…”Kimchee! Tacos! Rice!”…and that did help a little.

Here he is up to bat…get ready…

Get set…

Go!

Watching four and five year olds play any organized sport is quality entertainment.  Last week, a kid on the other team stood in the field and sang loudly.  (I’m guessing to pysch himself up for the game.)  He was clearly making it up as he went along and it was seriously hilarious.  Another kid, running from third to home, yelled out triumphantly, “Here! I! Come!!!!!!”

When he’s not playing ball, sometimes Ben is Spiderman.  I recently found him dressed like this to clean his room:

“Being Spiderman helps, ” he said.

Love my Spidey.

Thomas used to love to wear his Spider-man stuff. A few times, he even walked into Wendy’s dressed in his “Iron Man” mask, or as “Woody” from “Toy Story”. (Ask your Mom about those if you want.

Then again, he still thinks it’s cool that I remember the words to the “Sonic The Hedgehog” cartoon. (Never watched it, but I was home a lot when other kids were at school.) Which is why I try not to miss a game.
