My family made the long trip to visit us and we had the best time!
We played games…
…including plenty of Mario on the Wii. (It’s blurry, but Ben’s face!)
Speaking of the Wii, there was also a very competitive dance-off using Just Dance 3. This event, however, has been classified as “you had to be there” – no video footage allowed. Certain people reverted to whiteboard trash talkin’ to get themselves psyched up for the big event.
Obviously, there was music, ranging from a spirited mother-daughter rendition of Heart and Soul…
…to a strings jam session…
…to serious rehearsing for our Sunday gig.
Robyn bought a guitar for each family, and then taught Abby and Julie to play several chords. They did amazingly well!
We also had a great time doing a riff-off, a la Pitch Perfect. Rebecca could basically do that on her own, and for days. It was hilarious. And also sweet, as our kids wandered in and joined us.
We did some sight-seeing, including the Naval Air Museum…
…a day at the water park…
…and a couple of trips to the beach.
(They were very busy searching for all manner of marine life.)
We crowded together to eat, sometimes taking shifts at the table, sometimes just standing around to eat.
We got picture-happy after church on Sunday morning…
best ones oldests:
It was a great time. Reunion 2016 needs to happen!
