This year for Halloween we had a skeleton, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, and a ninja (the simple kind).

Abby just wanted something that required her to wear tons of face paint. We found this “costume” – basically a soft, warm onesie with the glow-in-the-dark skeleton on it – at a discount store for about $6. Wayne did her make-up and she was all set. It was the scariest costume we’ve allowed yet.

First attempt, for our church festival:

Second attempt, for trick-or-treating:

Of course, trick-or-treating in Florida was extremely humid and she was way too warm in that costume!

Emma and her friend spent weeks designing their costumes.  No store-bought costumes for these girls!

Ben just wanted to be a ninja.  Don’t mess with my ninja!  He may be cute, but he can fight! 😉
