Blogging More, Blogging Better

…but not more better.

I bought Crystal Paine’s blogging introductory course, since it’s only $7 (today, anyway). Sometimes I think I’d like to improve my blogging. But I actually hate blogs that are obviously monetized — all the pop ups! the constant begging for my email address! the “duh!” topics – so I’m pretty sure I don’t want to create anything like that. But maybe I’ll find some other helpful advice. Probably I just need to write more often. And learn how to take better photos. 😉

Speaking of, I’d really like to figure out how to fix all the photos in posts from 2016. I used a photo hosting site and linked to my post photos there, but I didn’t renew that site at the end of the year. So now all those links are bad.  I fixed one post today and it took about half an hour!

We’re still plugging away at school, doing our best to finish strong.

“Just keep swimming, ” I wrote on the small blackboard, mostly to myself. (And then I used the handy drawing of the fish to remind Ben of the meaning of Pisces.) Each kid has completed some subjects for the year, so our daily lists are growing shorter. I’m itching for time at the pool – if it ever gets warm enough in this heat-forsaken place – and more time to read.

Is your school year over? What kinds of blogs do you like best?

Oh, all the affiliate links! Seems like every homeschool blog I visit!
Yep, we’re done. Sort of. I still plan to sit down and read aloud regularly and shout out Bible verses and times tables in the car ad nauseam. 😉

“just keep swimming”…. I like that. Did it originate with you or from whence did the phrase come?
I need to start a blog. There, I said it once more. I must stop talking and do it. Anyway you are doing just fine and I enjoy your blogs always.
